Portfolio of Works

I began using acrylic paint on canvas in the Spring 2014.  I love that it allows me to work fast and step outside the boundaries of my normally controlled painting style.  It is the perfect medium for my favorite subject matter ... long-necked birds!

Each watercolor artist has his/her own style with the paint.  My watercolor style involves stinginess of paint and abundance of control.

Working in oil represents a new direction for me.   While my many years of watercolor experience has been turned upside down (light to dark vs dark to light), I find that my previous use of egg-tempera and of dry-brush watercolor has informed me greatly in the use of oil.

This collection includes original lithographs and original serigraphs with pochoir.

Includes my most popular swan, heron and egret images.

My newest work includes watercolors of egrets and swans (my favorite subjects) in their marsh environments.
